Overhead Construction

SP Power constructs and maintains overhead electrical infrastructure up to and including 132 kV including erecting poles, conductor stringing, pole top transformers, high and low voltage switching, and lighting. Working on public and private electricity networks, in distribution and transmission.

SP Power has extensive experience in the construction of new power lines, augmentation of existing lines and removal of redundant assets. SP Power is authorised for construction work up to 132kV on Endeavour Energy, Ausgrid and Essential Energy networks and is well-resourced with its own stable work force, cranes, borers, EWPs, and stringing and winching equipment. SP Power installs transmission lines over challenging landscapes and installing foundations in locations where drilling, blasting or pile driving are required. SP Power is also experienced in liaising with authorities and local communities to address environmental and other concerns.
